News team at beach awaiting oil spill. We sign up for and attend a basic safety class for beach cleanup. Lay low hoping to hear about a class for cleaning injured wildlife. The weater has calmed down and the spill is in a holding pattern off shore. All there is to do now is clean the beaches of litter and debris so if the oil comes to shore it can be cleaned off the sand more easily.
After the trees were destroyed by Katrina, instead of taking them completely down, a local chainsaw artist was hired to turn the remains of the trees into sculptures:
