Marfa Mystery Lights and beyond

Where do you go when you want to see the lights?

Marfa of Course!  So we camp out at the observation area.  The lights were first seen in the 1850's.  There are many theories but no one has explained them with certainty.

Mystery lights or headlights?  You decide. 

At least the sunset lights were nice. 

And now the answer to the Study Butte question

YES!

We continue our trek thru the remainder of Texas

A stop in Alpine to view the Murals

A walk around the McDonald Observatory -

unfortunately the star party was not going that night. 

A tour around Fort Davis

 And then 2 days at Balmorhea State Park with its
13.2 million gallon spring fed pool!  The water felt great after days of 110 degrees
and dusty dessert air.
