Since 1976 Borderfest is a four day extravaganza dedicated to the diverse and unique cultural and musical heritage of South Texas. There are 7-8 stages with various entertainment, carnival rides, some big name entertainment and more.
This year's theme is Hawaii
A stroll down the road
Hawaiian Dancers practicing
We meet the Mascot - Pepper
HEB the local grocery store was a big sponsor
Pam finds her inner princess
A man cuts Cheese
There is much entertainment - Native Indian Dancers . . .
African Acrobats
There were street entertainers
the Oscar Munoz Magic Show had us all in stitches with tears running down our face
We saw the Weinermobile!
We wait in anticipation for the lighted parade!
We see some of our friends from the Festival of Lights
Many different costumes
Some beautiful Floats
and of course Pepper has his place in the parade
If it's Hawaii there must be a volcano
and don't forget the pig roast
Though it looks suspiciously like my Sand Dog
See we're not Lyin:
Meanwhile we keep on Trek'n Melissa & Gary
